I’m thinking of using this in a video.
It’s written by me, “Allow Me This.”
Beyond this sanctuary, there’s a world which threatens to asphyxiate our hearts in crimson dye. Beyond this refuge, there’s chaos, disorder, and suffering in overwhelming quantities, the likes of which we seek this security from. We are small, and we are afraid.
Aside this creature I relish in the divine hope for a brighter future. Soft eyes secure my fears and wash away the lack of strength in my own limbs, replacing weakness with hallowed fortitude. As one we are a force with which to be reckoned, but apart, we remain half of a greater whole.
Today, allow my tears to saturate the locks of your mane and allow my desires and humble whispers savor the understanding within your ears. Carry me forward and together, we’ll create a new future, a better one. Allow me, meek and eager for sanctity from the terrors of a world engulfed in hateful fire, to grasp your purity and perhaps plant the seed for my own. Allow me this, just this.
I was inspired by sophianinam and her new video today, so much that I had tears dribbling down my face, and I came up with it.
